Mollie lives in a 3 bedroom house in Durham, NC with her husband Steve and two cats – Bobo and Shmoo. Mollie has been designing and making beaded earrings (and much much more for over 20 years. She has a keen eye for combining glass, crystal and semi-precious stones in a myriad of ways to create that unique sparkle and allure. She doesn’t make the same piece twice – every item is a one-of-a-kind original. She will sometimes do custom pieces by request. Leave her a note if you have something specific in mind. ALL custom work will require a non-refundable 50% deposit with the balance due on completion and delivery of the piece(s).

This site is really more about you than it is about us. After all, it is you who will select a piece, purchase it, and wear it! Hopefully you will talk about the piece and your experience with great enthusiasm. 🙂 So … what sort of jewelry purchaser are YOU?

Perhaps you always buy inexpensive costume jewelry from department stores or discount stores. If you are,  that’s really too bad – for both of us. Why? First, we’ll lose a sale. Second, because you’ll end up wearing mass-produced items made in factories overseas under horrific conditions by people who earn $1 a day or less. You’ll be contributing to their misery every time you buy products like that. Besides, you’re going to eventually show up at a fancy party or event and see one or more other people wearing the exact same items. While you may like what you’ve bought when you first bought it, does it really enhance your style, appearance and self-esteem? Will you wear it often and with pride? Or does it leave you feeling “blah”?

Perhaps you only buy from high-end jewelers and spend huge sums of money on items with precious metals(gold, silver, platinum, etc.) and precious stones(diamonds, rubies, emeralds, etc.) You probably won’t find what you seek here in our shop. We do use silver and other good-quality materials, but pure gold and precious gems are not within our means to acquire, so we don’t make pieces from them – that sell for hundreds or thousands of dollars.

Perhaps you’re a more moderate spender, who isn’t satisfied with inexpensive mass-produced goods but also is not able to plunk down a few hundred for a pair of diamond earrings. You are more than like to find that special something at a price you can afford, right here! You won’t “break the bank” here, but you will acquire a piece (or two) that will spark others’ interest and make you feel great about yourself and your choices.
